swing trading is simply a term used for short term trading. usually these trades are on for less than one year and is basically a buy low, sell high type of trade that the trader expects to happen shortly in the future. the trader isn’t investing for the long term or for dividends, just for the expected appreciation or decline in the stock.

generally, swing traders will hold a stock overnight, while strict daytraders always exit a trade before the close of business each day.

Pi is just a fictional film.
